Kelowna to Maui, Hawaii - $303 CAD roundtrip including taxes [winter travel]

Air Canada and WestJet have dropped the price of their flights from Kelowna to Kahului, Hawaii (Maui) down to $303 CAD roundtrip including taxes.
The flights have 1 stop each way in Vancouver.
Yes, accomodations and rental cars on Maui are notoriously expensive. On Airbnb I've been noticing some well reviewed camper vans in the range of $130-$180 CAD/night. They're basically mini-vans with mattresses and some other camping items included.
Taking a look at rental car prices in October, it actually looks like rental car prices have come back down to earth in Maui a bit. Cars are going for $80 CAD/day in October and mini-vans are going for $100 CAD/day.
